My name is Chantal and I am the owner and designer for ink. I graduated from University with BA (Hons) Psychology — but instead of pursuing this degree, I remained intrigued by the Computer Science courses I had taken which had introduced me to the world of website design... and since then there has been no going back.

Since 2000, I have been actively involved in the design and development of websites. As a freelance designer, I also picked up a few other subcontract jobs; built my portfolio designing for others, and gained valuable experience. Years of training resulted in a strong desire to run my own business, and in 2003, ink website design was born. A small freelance design company based on a passion to create modern, beautiful and professional website designs.

In 2009, ink expanded and took over ownership of Sunshine Coast design company, Bluefish. Although now larger, the business still holds tight to the core philosophy that started this all: customer service is always a high priority. And designing websites is our passion.

Being a small freelance company allows us to offer a more personal service and the relationship formed with the client while working together on a project is important. I often refer to the design and development process as a team effort, where the success of launching a website that meets (or exceeds!) customer expectations is shared. Working as a team is central to how I do business. It means good collaboration, excellent understanding of expectations and needs, and a vested interest in each individual project that I complete.

After living in Whistler for many years, we have now settled in the neighbouring town Pemberton, which I enjoy with my husband Alex, daughter Lucy and golden retriever, Moe.
